Travel health and immunization services

We are unable to provide comprehensive travel consultations.  We recommend contacting a local pharmacy or Public Health in your town for more information.

If you are looking to discuss basic travel related information regarding vaccinations or prescriptions, please advise the staff at the time of booking as these appointments are not covered by Provincial Healthcare.

PLEASE NOTE: Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan does NOT cover travel related consults, appointments or injections. Payment for these services must be made at the time of your appointment.

The physicians at Ridgeview Medical are equipped to treat travellers returning to Canada. Be prepared to tell your doctor which countries you have visited and provide details about any medical attention you received while abroad.

For useful information on vaccines, travel health notices, and country specific advisories, visit the Public Health Agency of Canada's Travel Health site.

Foreign Citizens Traveling in Canada

Physicians at Ridgeview Medical Centre are able to see non-Canadian residents on a walk-in basis.

The base fee for non-Canadians is $175 per appointment. Additional fees may be charged based on the complexity of the appointment.

Please note: we are not able to perform x-rays or lab work on site, nor can we bill directly to your travel insurance.
