Dr. Kendra Barrick

University of Ottawa &
University of Calgary
Special Interests: Palliative Care; Addiction Medicine; Mental Health Counselling; PrEP.
Dr. Barrick obtained her medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 2014. Originally from Kitchener, Ontario, she moved to Calgary to start her Family Medicine residency at the University of Calgary, and instantly fell in love with the mountains and the people.

Dr. Barrick's practice interests include addiction medicine, palliative care and mental health counselling. Additionally, she works as a clinical lecturer at the University of Calgary, and teaches current family medicine residents. When not practicing medicine, you can find Dr. Barrick in the mountains running, hiking and ice-climbing!

Dr. Jessica Lydiate

University of Saskatchewan
& University of Calgary
Special Interests: IUD Insertion; PrEP.
*On Maternity Leave until September 2020*
Dr. Lydiate graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine. She then completed her Residency in Family Medicine through the University of Calgary, with the majority of her training being completed in Lethbridge and rural communities around Alberta. Dr. Lydiate is excited to serve patients as part of the Ridgeview team and enjoy outdoor adventures in the Bow Valley.

Dr. Chloe MacLean

Flinders School of Medicine & University of Calgary
Special Interests: Endometrial Biopsy; Skin Biopsy; Knee and Shoulder Injections; IUD Insertion.
Dr. MacLean will be locuming at Ridgeview Medical Centre from Nov 2019 to June 2020, looking after Dr. Lydiate's patients while she is on Maternity Leave.

Dr. MacLean originates from Calgary but has travelled extensively, attending Medical School in Adelaide, Australia; and working in remote places such as Alice Springs. Dr. MacLean has two fur-babies and looks forward to enjoying the outdoor adventures that Canmore offers.

Dr. Andy Kirk

University College of London
Dr. Kirk graduated from University College of London specializing in family medicine and has been practicing in the Bow Valley since 2010. He has a special interest in aboriginal medicine. He enjoys many athletic activities including cycling, hiking and golf.

Dr. Janet Paul

University of Edinburgh & University of Queensland
Dr. Paul graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and did her post graduate Family Medicine training in Queensland, Australia, then becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr. Paul and her family relocated from Australia after falling in love with Canmore following several vacations to the area. The Paul family love outdoor activities particularly mountain biking, skiing & hiking. Dr. Paul particularly wants to help her patients maintain their health so they too can enjoy all that this wonderful part of the world has to offer.

Dr. Emma Morin

University of Calgary
Special Interests: IUD Insertion; Dermoscopy and minor excisions; Endometrial biopsy.
Dr. Morin graduated from the University of Calgary, with a good portion of her training in Canmore itself. She then completed residency at the University of Calgary, and was very excited to come back to Canmore to practice family medicine. Dr. Morin is originally from coastal BC, and loves hiking, biking, skiing and climbing in the mountains.

Dr. Joanne Mitchell

University of Calgary &
Calgary General Hospital
Dr. Mitchell received her MD from the University of Calgary, and completed her Family Medicine Residency at the Calgary General Hospital. She practiced family medicine in Calgary until 1997, then moved her practice to Ridgeview Medical Centre.

Dr. Christa McPherson

University of British Columbia
Special Interests: IUD Insertion; Endometrial Biopsy.
Dr. McPherson completed her medical degree at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and her Family Medicine Residency on Vancouver Island, in Nanaimo BC. She worked providing locum coverage in several rural communities in BC before moving to Canmore.

She is a busy and proud mom of two beautiful little boys. Dr. McPherson loves the outdoors, climbing, running and skiing in particular and hopes to help her patients achieve optimal health to pursue their passions.

Dr. Brandon Hone

University of Calgary
Special Interests: IUD Insertion; Skin biopsy; Knee and shoulder injections; Toenail procedures.
Dr. Hone commenced with Ridgeview Medical Centre on November 1, 2018. Dr. Hone graduated from the Family Medicine Residency program at University of Calgary in 2016 and has been locuming in the Bow Valley, Northern Alberta and the Yukon since then. He will likely be a familiar face for many of you. Welcome to the team, Dr. Hone!
